The edge bander is a machine used in the wood sector to apply a plastic or wooden edge to panels. There are various types of edge banders, in particular, we distinguish: - Straight edge banding machines: they are specialized in edging the squared panel. - Edge banding machines for curved profiles: they have a particular conformation that allows edging curved surfaces. The edge can be of countless types and thicknesses: the most used edges are in ABS and PVC, laminate, wood, MDF blocks etc. Hot-melt glues are usually used for bonding, as they give immediate hold (usually EVA or PUR based). Once the edge is applied on the panel, other groups of motors intervene, which through the use of cutters and scrapers trim the protruding edges finishing the panel.
